Not sturdy like I remember

I bought this lamp (or one similar) over 20 years ago. I know designs can change over time, but you would think it would be for the better. I remember the previous lamp was taller and had a sturdier base. It was also easy to apply. I spent two hours assembling this lamp. I remember my previous paper latern lamp didn't take that long. I'm really disappointed in the quality of this lamp. I know it's only $19.99, but like I mentioned, the previous paper latern lamp I had costed approximately that much and it was better quality. It'll work for now. I'm just not sure I'll purchase a floor lamp from IKEA again.

I couldn't get it to stand up

This is a shockingly bad product. The parts fit together, but there's no way to fasten them together or secure them in place, so the lamp fell apart every time I tried to assemble it.

Bad assembling experience

It was difficult to assemble on step 2 and once I managed to put it together, the paper cover wouldn’t go down as far as the instruction showed. I ended up torn the bottom of the paper. It was very frustrating especially since I’ve been buying stuff from IKEA all the time. Can’t believe they would sell product like this.

Not good

I purchased several of the paper floor lamps years ago and they no longer carry them. The newer version is flimsy at best. Plastic with no support. I ended up throwing it away and just keeping the paper shade, which is all I needed, but I was informed you can't just by the shade :(
