Wrong dimensions online vs reality

I purchased 2 of these Brimnes Bookcases specifically because of the dimensions listed online for the drawer interiors which are large enough to be used for file folder storage. However, after getting the units together, the drawer interiors are only 8-1/8" deep, just short of being able to store file folders. The dimensions Ikea gives are 9"h for the top drawer and 11-3/4"h for the bottom drawer. Now I am stuck with furniture I can't use as I planned to and have to buy more furniture to accomodate my files. Not good Ikea!! Not good!! Plus it smells really bad

Brimnes bookcase

Easy to put together and looks great. I used two brimnes bookcases and two brimnes cabinets to create a built in.

Was perfect

This was perfect for what I intended to display. Was easy to built. Did home delivery and I guess during the process, some corners tips were smashed. Not something you can tell much, but would have obviously liked for the furniture pieces to have arrived without any damage.
